About Ana María Serrano-Fowlkes
I believe successful Black women deserve lives they actually enjoy living.
I have spent much of my professional life sitting with accomplished Black women.
Women with careers, degrees, businesses, families, responsibilities, expectations, and lives they worked incredibly hard to create.
And over and over, I saw the same tension.
A woman could be successful and still feel disconnected from herself.
She could have accomplished many of the things she once prayed, planned, and worked for and still wonder:
Why doesn’t my life feel the way I thought it would?
That question sits at the center of my work today.
I am Ana María Serrano, licensed therapist, coach, wellness expert, and PhD candidate in Mind-Body Medicine.
I am also The Curator of Sacred Transformation.
My work is about helping accomplished Black women create lives that feel as good as they look.
Why Increase Your Bliss
Success is incomplete if you cannot enjoy your life.
I do not believe accomplished Black women need to become less ambitious.
I do not believe the answer is abandoning everything you built.
And I am deeply uninterested in telling successful women to solve complex lives with another list of self-care activities.
I am interested in something much more personal:
Does your life still fit you?
Does your work support the life you want?
Do your relationships have room for who you are becoming?
Are you receiving enough support?
Is there pleasure in your ordinary life?
Do you have room for rest, beauty, spirituality, connection, desire, and curiosity?
Are you making decisions from who you are today, or continuing to live according to expectations you accepted years ago?
Bliss is not one prescribed version of a good life.
Bliss is a life that feels like yours.
My Approach
My work brings together years of clinical experience with coaching, mind-body wellness, integrative health, cultural understanding, and a deep respect for the complexity of Black women’s lives.
That means we can talk about the whole thing.
Success.
Stress.
Purpose.
Pleasure.
Relationships.
Identity.
Money.
Health.
Spirituality.
Midlife.
Work.
Rest.
Reinvention.
The expectations you have inherited.
The choices you have made.
And the choices you may be ready to make differently.
I am interested in helping women create change that works in their actual lives.
Not an idealized life.
Not a life designed around what everyone else needs from them.
Their life.
The Curator of Sacred Transformation
Transformation does not always require becoming someone new.
Sometimes it means becoming more intentional about what stays.
What goes.
What gets more of your time.
What gets less.
Who gets access to you.
What you want to experience.
How you want to work.
How you want to love.
How you want to live.
My role is not to hand you my version of the right life.
My role is to help create the conditions where you can hear yourself clearly enough to choose yours.
That is what The Curator of Sacred Transformation means to me.
Professional Background
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, coach, wellness expert, and PhD candidate in Mind-Body Medicine, with doctoral specialization in Integrative and Functional Nutrition.

My additional training and certifications include:

My clinical background continues to inform the depth with which I understand people, patterns, relationships, stress, and change.
But Increase Your Bliss is not therapy.
My licensed clinical work remains separate through Blue Bayou Counseling.
Increase Your Bliss gives me room to work more broadly through coaching, immersive experiences, thought leadership, wellness, speaking, writing, and the conversations I believe accomplished Black women deserve to be having about their lives.
